P. Ashoka Daibee, CPA, JD., LLM., is a tax team member in the tax and business advisory services group at Mandamus LLC. Ashoka has more than 25 years experience in audit, accounting and significant tax experience in high net worth individuals, trusts, private foundation and pass-through entity taxation. He has performed tax research and planning for a variety of clients. Ashoka possesses wide-ranging experience with a particular emphasis in estate planning and administration of estates, foundations and trusts. He has assisted clients in understanding and reporting the tax consequences of their investing activities, as well as advising on structural and operational matters. Ashoka specializes in tax planning for individuals, estates, trusts, and closely held corporations. Areas of expertise also include alternative minimum tax, passive loss, and multi-state.
Ashoka, an attorney as well as a CPA, is well versed in complex tax issues. He provides tax advice and tax return preparation services for privately held businesses, their owners and family offices. Ashoka advises these clients on federal, state and local tax issues as well as on planning for the formation, acquisition and disposition of businesses.

David Hoffman, is a team member in the financial operations group at Mandamus LLC who has extensive hospitality and restaurant experience providing services tailored to increasing productivity and therefore profitability. David has uncovered operating efficiencies and economic solutions to increase earnings and improve balance sheet positions while establishing internal control procedures and policies as needed. In addition, his experience as a Sarbanes-Oxley Manager for a mid-market accounting firm, has provided him with the “hands-on” background to assess, develop, and implement the design of financial and operational internal controls for clients.
David’s experience includes leading his own financial consulting firm, as President, focusing on small to medium sized businesses, with revenues up to $50 million. His background includes stints as CFO at some of New York City’s leading catering and restaurant groups. He has assisted clients in strategic planning, accounting and finance functions, human resources and profit growth for multi-unit business operations.
Hoffman, who resides in White Plains, NY, received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Hofstra University.
Howard Leopold, CPA, is a team member in the business services group at Mandamus LLC. He possesses wide-ranging experience with a particular emphasis on closely held business services. He has over 30 years of audit, accounting, and significant tax experience in a variety of industries such as real estate, textile, apparel, non-for-profit organizations, and personal services companies. He has represented many clients before the Internal Revenue Service, New York State and New York City taxing authorities. Howard has provided services extensively to both commercial and residential real estate companies. Leopold, who resides in Riverdale, NY received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Bernard Baruch College.
Leopold is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and former member of the National Association of Realtors, New York State Realtors Association and the Bronx Board of Realtors.
Julio Mangual, CPA, is a team member in the real estate services group at Mandamus LLC. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate industry. His experience includes providing clients with services that range from the development of tax strategies for owning and operating property to the structuring and negotiation of complex sales, acquisitions and financing transactions. Mangual has been involved in over $10 billion of real estate transactions over the last 15 years including some of the largest deals in the city of New York. Mangual is also a registered real estate broker in New York. As a real estate broker he has sold/bought, renovated numerous properties and manages commercial/residential properties. Mangual, who resides in Jamaica Estates, NY received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bernard Baruch College.
Special real estate related engagements have included forensic investigations, assisting creditors with collateral preservation issues, litigation support matters, due diligence, and tax certiorari.
